How Do Comics Writers Tackle Sensitive Subjects

Well written comics can evoke deep emotion reactions and critique society. Sometimes, this is done in ways that are horrific or disturbing. When real life can be stranger than fiction, what is acceptable to show? What's gratuitous, and does it matter? A diverse panel of industry professionals weigh in on topics from race to sex to gender to violence in stories and how these and other socially sensitive subjects can be tackled.
